Old-Schooled April and May Promos

April 29, 2012 Leave a comment

Whoops, once again I’ve proven my inability to update my page with normal updates as I get wrapped up in things. So sorry about that. For those of you who don’t already know this I’ve been expanding the Old-Schooled presence on the internet, adding a facebook group for it. Eventually I plan to move information about the tournament here as a permanent archive, but that’s still in the works. But anyway, here’s the last two promos for tournaments. Yes, they’re ads, but they’re fun to watch too.

Old-Schooled March 2012 Promotional Video

Normally I don’t post these, so perhaps I’m tooting my own horn a little bit here, but if you look at my youtube channel you’ll notice there’s a lot of promotional videos for Old-Schooled, a gaming tournament I host in the area. It’s something I have a lot of fun doing, and since I like video editing, it was really a matter of time before I decided to put some of it down to film. The following video though, I’m pretty happy with, as it’s literally an advertisement for the next tournament that I think turned out really well. So well in fact that I’m happy to share it here. Enjoy.

The Misadventures of the USS Mountain Dew – Mission 3

December 13, 2011 Leave a comment

So this is the third and so far final mission for the USS Mountain Dew B. As you will recall the USS Mountain Dew was lost in space. The fate of the USS Mountain Dew A is unknown because the flight recorder was lost AKA we screwed up the FRAPS recording for the main screen.

In something slightly related I and my friends have since gotten the full version and had a chance to play it. Let me tell you that the full version of Artemis is much better than the demo. The demo is already fun but it’s limited. When you get the full version you got a large variety of enemy ships all with different strengths and weaknesses. You get a sector filled with nebula, asteroids, minefields, black holes, anomalies, and space monsters. The extra stations also really change the dynamic as far as how the bridge works.

I’d do a video for full version, but I’m afraid it wouldn’t be as fun to watch because we actually know what we’re doing now.

The Misadventures of the USS Mountain Dew – Mission 1

Recently at Tower of Games I had the opportunity to try out Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator at Tower of Games. We played the game on three laptops with the mainscreen laptop hooked up to a 42″ HDTV. And in a shameless bit for publicity we filmed it. As you can see from the video, we had a lot of fun doing this. Mission 3 will be coming soon. There is no Mission 2.

Catching up on the Backlog – Airsoft

December 5, 2011 1 comment

There’s only one thing worse than not being busy. And that’s being busy but forgetting to tell anyone about it. I haven’t been updating my website like I should, and I’ve definitely been up to a lot with the Old-Schooled Tournament and airsoft. So here’s the first stage in fixing that problem. It’s the last two airsoft videos I’ve produced over at Ballahack Airsoft. The first is just a video of the general saturday gameplay at the field. The second video is from Revelations II, the post-apocalyptic style scenario event that happened on the 26th of November, 2011. Enjoy.
